Cool! IC: Sitarra woke up and yawned, stretching his large white paws. He walked outside into the chilling weather and walked out of their camp. he padded through the snow and began to run. After a while, he finally reached the area where the snow began thinning out beneath him, and finally he saw the flowers up ahead as the snow began clearing. The smell of the air told him he would not have to wait. "Simba?" he murmured, his voice smooth and gentle.
Hollystream was walking through the hottest area of her territory. She felt something was lurking, watching her with deep concentration. She didn't feel in danger at all. It was as if the eyes that were watching her, were needing something from her. She felt sorrow and lonelyness from the eyes. Suddenly the feeling faded and she jumped. Hollystream woke up with a jerk. She was only dreaming.
When she focused on who was standing next to her she realized it was one of the hunters in her tribe. He was a younger hunter, with dark black stripes that crossed all through out his deep brownish orange pelt. His deep amber eyes were opened big. He was embarrased for startling his leader. She seemed restless and he didn't realize she was dreaming in her sleep.
"Is there something wrong Brindlestorm?" Hollystream asked. Brindlestorm finally relaxed and remembered what brought him to her den. Brindlestorm said, "Oh, I wanted to let you know we have some fresh kill on the kill pile. I caught a big juicy rabbit and I wanted you to have it." Hollystream's thoughts were still fuzzy. She couldn't get the dream off her mind. She stood up and followed Brindlestorm into the clearing and over to the kill pile.
Hollystream was glad the kill pile was stocked up so well. She knew she needed to get something to eat before she traveled. The territory was large and she will be traveling across it to meet the leaders of the other three tribes. She looked forward to this journey and was grateful she had strong Hunters and strong knowledgeable Watcher to help while she was gone.
Sitarra let out a deep purr and walked up to simba. He wanted to brush his white face along her beautiful orange one, but knew that would leave his scent. The last thing he wanted was for Simba to be in trouble. "Simba," he murmured gently, "how are you today, love?"
Worry overfilled Sitarra's eyes. He touched his pink nose gently to hers. "Don't worry, no matter what, I won't let you starve," he murmured in her ear.
ic: Hollystream was enjoying watching the queens with their cubs. She knew she wouldn't be able to have cubs being the leader. Her sister was a queen and Hollystream was happy visiting with her kin. A couple of the elderly tigers were concerned that the young female tiger might not be a good leader. Hollystream understood why they might doubt her. She was the first female leader for many many seasons. One might think she would be hurt or bitter toward them for doubting her, but she was fine with it. She enjoyed her role in the tribe and wouldn't change it for all the fresh kill in the land.
The day was still early and Hollystream knew she needed to get going to beat the heat of the day. She nodded goodbye to the Watcher and Hunters that stayed behind. They nodded back to her, two Hunters followed her across their territory.
Sitarra opened his crystal blue eyes and smelled the air. He raced off. He saw that Simba looked confused to see him leave so fast, when the smell was still a little way off. He quickly caught a snow vole and brought it to Simba. "A present for you, love," he said, bowing his head, "I'm sorry it's so small, it's usually most of what we find here."
"Bye." she purred. "Simba! what are you doing here!? Your almost in iceyforest! they'll kill you if they see you!" Said her watcher, bluefang. "No need to worry." she said and smiled. "letas go."
Hollystream and her tribe mates were close to the end of their border. They were able to move through their territory quickly. She knew every bush, stream, hill, and rock of the territory. She loved the heat from Lavaforest, but she also knew she needed to be smart about crossing it in the heat of the day.
The hunters and Hollystream came up to the border. They were quietly listening to a Watcher from Meadowforest talking to his tribe mate. She noticed he was talking to Simba. She remembered Simba from the previous gatherings. She is a strong hunter, and always seems very witty. Hollystream liked Simba and knew Meadowforest must be proud to have such a great hunter.
As she stood quietly she thought she heard a familiar voice. Trying hard to listen the silence was broken by one of the hunters. It was Brindlestorm. He is always so anxious but eager to please. He asked, "What are we waiting for Hollystream?"
Sitarra came into his camp. Some other white tigers walked up to him. They bowed their heads before speaking to their leader. "Sitarra, Oku and I wanted to speak to you last night after we decided to hunt, but yu were all ready asleep, but last night we smelled a meadowforest tiger on our side of the border," one said. Sitarra had no change of expression, "How deep into our territory?" This time Oku spoke. "It was a little inside of it. And these others," he gestured toward the other seven tigers with him, "have also smelled a single meadowforest tiger on the border and just inside it. It's the same one every time, sometimes mingled with others, but usually the others aren't as strong as the one." The one. It rang in sitarra's head. Not as the tiger who had crossed the border, but the one who his heart belonged to. Simba. "Stay away from the borders from now on, I will take care of this," he said, his voie grim. But in his head, he only felt happy as the tigers nodded and walked away. His secret was safe from them.
Sitarra felt uneasy. He suddenly remembered howh e'd felt like he was being watched with simba. he decided to go check on her. he finally got to the border. he idnt see simba, then he heard her talking.
Hollystream smiled, "We are on our way to the gathering. Will you be attending it too?" She thought Simba seemed like she was caught off guard, perhaps Bluefang was angry with her.
sitarra heard hollystreams question. From Iceyforest territory, he stepped out of the bushes. "Hollystream, simba," he greeted, showing no sign of his secret relationship with simba. hollystream was a leader, he couldnt have a fellow LEADER know his secret! "On your way to the gathering, I see? I'm just going on a quick hunt myself, before taking the others in Iceyforest."
Hollystream nodded at Sitarra. "Very good day for a hunt. The prey seems to be running rampant! Enjoy your hunt Sitarra, my tribe mates and I will meet you at the gathering."
"Okay, same to you," sitarra replied. Seeing there was no danger, he turned around and went back to his streak(what a group of tigers is called). "Time for the gathering!" he caleld when he arrived.
Hollystream and the two hunters, Brindlestorm and Willowfrost, trekked along the edge of their border. They had to cut across Wildforest's border to get to the gathering spot. It was allowed on the night of the gathering.
Hollystream's pace was fast and steady. She had travelled this path many times, and her heart always raced with excitement when running through Wildforest territory. She was anxious to meet with the leaders on the night of the gathering. The hunters and herself were always quiet about any problems they may have in their tribe. But willing to lend an ear when the younger tigers might slip and say something they weren't supposed to.
Gathering? She thought. Tonight? Simba walked back to meadowforest. Bluefang walked into his den. "Im going to take a nap. Stay out of trouble." Simba giggled. Yeah right! She thought. She bagan to walk towards iceyforest. Maybe he went to the gathering. She thought of her mate. She stopped and heard a noise. She looked around. There, in the bushed shined yellow eyes. Suddenly, a huge tiger jumped out infront of her. It wasent an ordinary tiger. It dident live anywhere. Its a travling tiger. Ive heard there strong horrible creatures. Simba thought with a shiver going down her spine. She looked at its claws. They were longer than a #2 pencil! Its fangs as sharp as a sharks. it let out a loud ROAR and jumped on simba, bitting down on her neck.
Sitarra had slowly began walking back, but he was just a few normal strides from the border. His ears pricked up and a faint scent flled his nose. He rushed toward the border and saw Simba and the tiger. He roared fiercely, glad that his streak was deep into his territory and wouldnt hear any of this, and leaped on the tiger. It was suprised and came off of Simba. Sitarra held him down with his massive white paws. He unsheathed his long, curved claws and yelled to Simba, "run!"
Sitarra roared at the tiger, revealing his long fangs and bit deep into the wild tiger's throat, digging his claws into him so that he could not try to push sitarra off. At the same time, he flicked his long black and white tail urgently, motioning for Simba to go.
Sitara got off the tiger and saw more coming. He leaped on the one on simba, pushing it off, but another tiger leapt onto Sitarra, and he fought against all the tgers. "Run, Simba! As fast as you can, far, far away!" he roared fiercely.
A tiger scratched Sitarra. He pushed it away and scratched it and called out, "Anywhere! Run to your streak, deep into it, to the far edge of it if you have to!"
Simba turned. Though, not relizing she turned the wrong way. She ran. She ran as fast as she could. Tears burning her eyes. She stopped at a waterfall. It had a long tree fallen down over it. She turned. Some followed her. She began to cross it. Looking down, shivering.
Sitarra attacked more tigers. They hurt him, but he took in his mistakes quickly and ignored the ache of his limbs and wounds. He knocked the lions over, and finally they all limped away. He looked around for where Simba went.
Simba became dizzy as she looked down. The two wild tigers began to move the tree to make it fall. Simba could see two trees because she was dizzy. He paw slipped and she fell. She grabbed onto the side, slipping as they were movind it.
OOC: tigers can swim! :D IC; Sitarra sniffed. Simba had gone the wrong way! He hoped he knew Iceyforest enough to go the right way. And he could only hope Simba didn't run into his streak... He raced toward her scent and saw tigers up ahead, crowded around something. No! Oh, no! he ran forward, then realized Simba was still safe, but slipping against the tree as the wild tigers shook it. Sitarra shoved them aside and snarled, soving his long teeth, opening his mouth in a silent roar. he rushed forward on the tree toward Simba.
That's PURRFECT!!! It's not only our colors, but it also has their characters! Sitarra, who, even though he's much softer around Simba, still keeps some of that toughness to him being leader, and then Simba, who is so kind and gentle! Thanks so much for finding it, Graystripe!
OCC: yes, but she is rly high and there might be rocks ;P Simba felt her paw slip more. Soon her whole paw was off. She let out a loud yowl. "Sitarra!!!" She could feel the wind hitting her pelt.
